The Turmeric-Pepper-Carrot Soup Fights Cancer And Inflammation

The recipe here is an adaptation from the Moroccan Carrot Soup of The Red Spoon, by Creative Commons Attribution License.

In medicine, the Curcuma of the turmeric is the main item for healing and included in more than 5600 studies and publications.


The turmeric is better than even 10 drugs like:

– Anti-inflammation
– Anti-depression – Prozac
– Chemotherapy
– Anti-coagulants
– Painkiller
– Diabetes meds – metformin
– Arthritis
– Cholesterol drugs
– Steroids



– 2 tbsp butter
– 1 cup onion chopped
– 1 lbs carrots, cut
– 2 ½ cups low sodium chicken broth
– Add 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 2 tsp turmeric
– 1 ½ cumin seeds
– Add 1 tbsp honey
– 1 tbsp lemon juice
– 1/8 tsp allspice
– Salt and pepper
– Sour cream ½ cup, either yogurt or crème fraishe


Melt the butter in a pan on medium heat. Add the onion to sauté 2 min. add the broth and carrots and let it boil. Lower the heat and the carrots must be softer after 20 min.

Add the cumin seed in a separate bowl on medium heat to release aroma for 5 min. grind the spice then.

Now turn off the heat for the soup and blend some puree in batches. Add honey too, allspice and lemon and in the end pepper and salt. Serve the soup and sprinkle the cumin or cumin and the sour cream too.
